David's third birthday

These two have the sweetest relationship.  They've been best friends ever since we brought him home from the hospital.  :-)  Their teachers told me last year that if they were on the playground at the same time, they only played with one another.  This year they are on different playgrounds, so they go to the fence and talk though it with each another the whole time.  

When David was finished unwrapping, Ellie told him that she had some more presents.  She went into her room and brought out a bunch of her toys that she had wrapped up with Kleenex and ribbon.

Ben setting up the outside tent (lots of fun!).  It was like straight out of an episode of Modern Family.

Our tradition has it that we go to Chuck E. Cheese on birthdays.  (But we don't actually eat there.)

David is a maniac at basketball, and he wins lots of tickets.  The funny thing is that he doesn't care at all about the prizes (which Ellie is obsessed with), so he gives her the tickets and she gets the prizes.

We finished the day with a spaghetti dinner.
